Chelsea have recalled midfielder Conor Gallagher from his loan spell with Charlton.

The highly-impressive teenager scored six goals and provided three assists during his spell with the Championship club.

But Frank Lampard has brought the 19-year-old back to Stamford Bridge, where he trained with the senior side today.

The Sun claim Chelsea chiefs will hold discussions either today or tomorrow on his next loan assignment.

Amadou Diawara scouting mission

Chelsea dispatched scouts to watch Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara in action against Juventus on Sunday.

Diawara, 22, joined Roma from Napoli in July 2019 for £18million and has cemented his place in the heart of Paulo Fonseca’s midfield.

The Guinea international played the full 90 minutes as Juventus secured a 2-1 victory at the Stadio Olimpico – and Italian publication Tuttomercato claim Chelsea scouts were present to assess his performance.

Representatives from Premier League rivals Tottenham were also in attendance to watch the defensive midfielder.

OGS tight-lipped on Fernandes

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer declined to offer an update on the club’s pursuit of Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

The Red Devils are reportedly in talks with the Portuguese club over a January deal for the 25-year-old, but Solskjaer indicated on Tuesday nothing was imminent.

“I’ve got no transfer updates,” he said. “If we get something we can tell you about we will, but we’ve got no news now.”

However, Solskjaer indicated there was money available to spend if required, regardless of suggestions that United’s status as England’s richest club was “at risk”.

Bruno Guimaraes interest

Arsenal are interested in Athletico Paranaense midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.

That’s according to the club’s president Mario Celso Petraglia, who claims the Gunners will only make an approach after the current campaign.

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea had sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old during prior to their transfer ban.

“Yes it’s true. Yesterday came the official offer from Benfica to sign Bruno Guimaraes,” Petraglia told O Jogo. “Arsenal are interested, but will only make an offer towards the end of the season.”

Real Madrid will submit an offer for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

That’s according to German Sky Sports reporter Marc Behrenbeck, who believes it’s only a matter of time before Zinedine Zidane’s side come knocking.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been linked with the Germany international, whose contract reportedly contains a release clause between £23-£51million.

“He is currently being scouted very intensively. As we hear from Spain, it is only a matter of time before Real Madrid contact Werner and also makes an offer,” Behrenbeck told Sky Sports.

Ambitious Newcastle swoop

Newcastle might scupper Chelsea’s hopes of signing Moussa Dembele this month if Steve Bruce gets his way and Mike Ashley stumps up the cash for the in-demand Lyon striker.

Express Sport understands Frank Lampard and Manchester United counterpart Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are interested in bringing Dembele back to the UK, where he’s previously shone for Fulham and Celtic.

However, with Newcastle not yet clear of relegation danger, Bruce wants to add some fire-power to his Toon side and has got Dembele in his sights.

The Daily Star report St James’ Park boss Bruce would ‘love’ to compete for Dembele before the transfer window slams shut at the end of this month.

Bruno Fernandes to Manchester United appears to be edging closer.

Now, reports in Portugal have claimed Ed Woodward has offered Andreas Pereira to the club in order to land the Sporting Lisbon star.

Joel Pereira, Angel Gomes and Marcos Rojo plus cash have all been offered so far.

But Woodward has now put Andreas Pereira’s name on the table instead to try and convince Sporting to sell, Portuguese newspaper A Bola claim.

Dani Olmo U-turn

Barcelona are no longer interested in signing £34m-rated Dinamo Zagreb winger Dani Olmo.

And that’s good news for Frank Lampard’s Chelsea, who are eager to sign the one-cap Spanish international.

The Catalan giants were leading Chelsea and Manchester United in the race to sign the 21-year-old attacking talent.

But Mundo Deportivo claim Barcelona have withdrawn their interest – handing the Premier League duo a free run at completing a deal for Olmo.

Fabian Ruiz latest

New boss Quique Setien once blocked Barcelona’s approach for Fabian Ruiz, Mundo Deportivo report.

The Spanish champions, along with rivals Real Madrid and Manchester United, have been linked with £86million-rated Ruiz over the past several months.

But Barcelona could have snapped him up for a paltry £850,000 in 2017.

Setien was a big fan of Ruiz during their time together at Real Betis and personally blocked Barcelona’s approach for the midfielder before his £25m transfer to Napoli the following year.

John Stones to Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has identified the man he wants to make his first signing as Gunners chief.

The Spaniard apparently wants Manchester City outcast John Stones to join this month.

The Englishman has only started nine league games, and was left out of five of the last six match-day squads.

As a result, it appears he is willing to leave the Etihad after three-and-a-half years, according to The Sun.
